这组词都可表示“一套房间”。它们的区别在于:

1.flat指比较简朴的住宅,通常占有不大或不很讲究的楼内某一层,多用于英式英语中。

2.apartment通常指单房,复数形式时指套房,也可指私人房或出租房,有无设备都可,多用在美式英语中。有时也可称作condominium或condo。例如:

这两个词都可作“地方”“空地”解。它们的区别在于:place是可数名词,指某人或某物所占的特定的空间; room是不可数名词,指足够某一目的所需的空间,侧重大小、尺寸等。例如:

This is the place where we can play tennis.这是我们打网球的地方。

There is a lot of room to play tennis.有足够的空地打网球。

There is a double room upstairs.

楼上有个双人房间。

There are two rooms upstairs.

楼上有两个房间。

Please come to my room.

请到我的房间来。
